- The contractor will discuss the route required to bring the fibre cable from the street box to inside your home. This may require some digging of grass, lifting some paving, or mounting of 20mm white PVC conduit for the cable to be placed in
- Once completed, there will be a fibre termination box as well as a fibre modem or ONT (Optical Network Terminal)
- The ONT must remain powered on and the network port on that unit connects to the WAN port on your Wi-Fi router
- WizeFly will then deliver the Wi-Fi router to you as soon as the Fibre provider confirms your line is active
- WizeFly aims to get you up and running with minimal fuss and delay from installing your router, to setting up VoIP, let us help you

All Residential Fibre clients get to enjoy the benefit of FREE access to SafeDNS, a web filtering package that protects your family against cyber threats and objectionable content on the internet
Are the packages Month to Month? WizeFly offers both contracted and month to month packages. Our clients pay for their routers when opting for a month-to-month package. Clients are free to upgrade or downgrade, at any time with one month’s written notice.
What if there is no Fibre currently? WizeFly is in the process of adding new Fibre Providers all the time. Send us an email and we will add you to our database and update you when fibre becomes available. Or you can look at our very competitive LTE offers.
Upgrade or Downgrade? You may upgrade or downgrade at any time, but please note that upgrade actions may attract a small upgrade fee depending on the fibre provider chosen. Cancellations require a calendar months’ notice, if not signed-up to a long-term contract.
Does this offer include a router? Yes, for all packages other than month to month. We will supply you with a quote for a high-quality router that can handle your new lightning-fast fibre at an affordable fee for our month-to-month packages.
Do I need a phone line? No. None of our Fibre or Wireless Services require a Telkom phone line. Customers wanting to keep their current numbers can port their number to WizeFly at a once off fee of R89.
Are the line speeds Symmetrical or Asymmetrical?
Provider and package dependent
What is the difference between Symmetrical and Asymmetrical?
Symmetrical connections are exactly what they sound like; a connection with equal download and upload speeds. For example, with a 500/500 Mbps fibre internet connection you get 500 Mbps of download AND 500 Mbps of upload speeds.
An asymmetrical connection, however, does NOT have equal download/upload speeds. For example, 60/3 means 60 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed.
Both connections have their benefits, but what works best for your business will depend on how you use the internet.
An asymmetrical connection might fulfil your needs if you are:
- A small company with only a few employees
- Not relying on the internet for resource-heavy uses – mostly you’re just web-surfing
- You have one location, or are not part of a larger network
symmetrical speeds will make more sense if you are:
- A mid-size or large company with many employees
- Heavy users of collaboration tools
- Moving (or are already using) applications and services to the cloud (Google Drive, Office 365, Salesforce, etc)
- Part of a team that is distributed across a large geographic area – including multiple sites and locations
- Productivity bottlenecks are appearing between your tools
- Scaling up your operations and need to prepare additional capacity for growth
