As the name suggests, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) delivers voice communication and multimedia sessions (such as video conferencing) over IP networks. This means your business can use the internet as the transmission medium for making phone calls. Examples of this include Zoom; Teams; Skype and WhatsApp calling.
VoIP technology can also be used to enhance traditional PBX solutions while delivering modernised, flexible communication services over IP infrastructure.
VoIP calls allow you to replace your landline telephone at a fraction of the cost while also saving you money on local, mobile and international calls.
VoIP is the perfect value add-on service for fibre, wireless and fixed LTE offerings.

What is VoIP?
VoIP is an alternative telephone service that works off your Internet connection. It cuts out unnecessary landline costs and you are only charged for the time you spend on the call. It is a great solution for anyone with fixed or mobile Internet looking for a home or business telephone number that is flexible, affordable and easy-to-use.
What are the benefits of a VoIP system?
- Low cost: All calls take place over the internet therefore you are charged for internet access rather than for call minutes. VoIP offers a cost-effective solution for long-distance and local calling.
- Connect anywhere: VoIP enables the automatic routing of phone calls to your VoIP-enabled phone therefore, wherever you are able to connect to the internet, you can make and receive phone calls.
- Sound quality: A strong internet connection generally results in a clearer and more consistent sound quality than an analogue phone.
- Better functionality: VoIP allows users to host video calls and transmit multimedia messages. Functionality includes voicemail, call analytics and do not disturb.
- Technology: VoIP digitises voice communications making it compatible with the latest technologies. It can work through the newest headsets, smartphones and computer accessories. Any new technology that uses voice is going to work better with a VoIP system than a landline.
- Speed of Deployment: with installation time.
